Thursday (2-21-13) Alamo Summary

  1. throughout the first half hour of the movie "the Alamo" Sam Houston was selling Texas. There was a meeting and they wanted to remove Sam Houston from the regular army. There was two churches, Saint dominics and Francis. Francis had two gifts, proficy, and the ability to fire passionate devotion. General Travis was left in command. by Cernal Neil.

  2. Travis let's a man leave to another side of the feel to be with his family. Jim Bowie feels better and he says his slave and the woman that takes care of him if they want to leave they can the woman that took care of him did not leave but the slave left. The Mexican officials have a meeting over dinner and they talk about how the Battle will be and how they will win the battle because they have more troops.Travis Makes a speech to all of the troops and says that if they want to leave they have their part to, but if they want to stay they should know that they're fighting for their life. During the end of the seen some more troops at night come from another town.

  3. In the beginning of the movie, Davy is telling the men a story around the fire. The main purpose of his story was to say that, "If you lend me your potatoes, I'll give you some right back." Later on, after the battle the Jim Bowie is injured and his nurse is massaging an egg on his head. A man says, "He's already dead and this is the palce he has been sent." While his nurse is serving Jim, she kisses him. Jim also says that he just wishes to see the light. After that, James told his slave he could be free, and to do whatever he wants. Travis told his soldiers that no help is on the way because Davy said they deserve to be told the truth.

  4. During this part of the movie, Travis told one of his men that he switched his shifts. So now the man can be with his family through out the night. The next morning, Jim told his slave that he was of great use and now he can be free to do what he wants. He told the same thing to the lady who attended him but she decided to stay. Than more troops from another twon came to assist them.

  5. David Crocket and the men got around the Bon fire and he started telling them stories about his past. The next morning the Mexican general decides to send a letter to the Alamo that states anyone that wants to leave will not be shot at but if they stay they will be killed.then Travis gathers his men and tells them that they have letter from the council and general and he tells them that there no guarantee that there sending reinforcements to help or any supplies and then he tell them if they want to leave they are more welcome to leave but he isn't gonna leave he is gonna stay till the war is over

  6. Bowie said to the slave that if he wanted to leave, then he could leave. Bowie was starting to feel somewhat better. The Mexicans have a meeting and they talk about how the battle will be. They say they will win because they have more numbers. Travis told his troops that there's no help on the way. He tells them they can leave, but if they stay they're risking their life.

  7. Travis lets a man switch his shift this way he can see his family. Jim Bowie starts to feel better & tells his slave, and the girl who took care of him to go. He was starting to feel better. The slave left but the woman stayed and said they are family. Travis then speaks to all the troops saying if they want to leave, they can, but if they stay then they're risking their lives.

The mexicans had a meeting discusing how the battle would be. They thought they'll win the battle because they have more troops. The next day the Mexican general sends a letter to the Alamo, saying anyone who wants to leave will not be shot but if they stay they will be killed. At the end more troops from another town came to help them.

  9. david and the men are around a fire and he is telling stories about the past. jim bowie starts to feel better and tells his slave go ur still my propertie. and the slave ends up going to war with the americans. travis told the troops there is nobdy coming to help. we are alone whoever wants to leave can go now or stay. everybody stayed.

  10. Around the fire david and his men are story telling. Bowie starts to feel better and tells his slave that he can go. The Mexicans send the Texans a letter saying they can leave but whoever stays will be killed. Travis reads this to his men and say that they can leave, but if they stay it's at their own risk.

  11. David Crockett and the men got around the Bon fire and then started telling them stories about his life. Jim Bowie hears the mexican generals rules and ends up feeling bad and trys to let the sleves leave. Bowie tells the slave if he makes it through the Alammo then he has to return to him , because he is bowies until he dies. Travis gave a speech and told all his men to leave if they wanted to but to all men that stayed they will get there land and money ,
